The KIN Carry-on is a game-changer in the suitcase industry. The key design feature of the product is the unique material used for the shell.
The carry-on comes in two natural colours; Beige Mélange and Black Mélange with matching vegetable-tanned leather details. The shell of the suitcase is made from a combination of biobased and biodegradable plastics and flax. To mould the material into its final shape it is heated and then compressed using a technique called thermocompression. The lining inside is made from linen that matches the fabric of the accessories made by Thomas Bentzen.
The suitcase features a double coil zipper that makes it very difficult to force open, and high-end 360-degree spinner wheels from Hinomoto that are both extremely silent and durable. Inside, the two compartments of the suitcases are separated by compression straps that are easily detachable.
